SMS marketing consists of sending short text messages, generally limited to 160 characters, directly to the mobile phones of customers and prospects. It is a fast, practical and economical method of communication that offers many advantages to companies. The affordable cost of sending, the ease of use of dedicated software and tools as well as the high opening rate make SMS marketing an essential solution in commercial prospecting and the promotion of products or services.

Other types of SMS
SMS Marketing is characterized by its content oriented towards the sale of products or services. It can also be called Promotional SMS when it aims to promote a product, an offer or an event to recipients. It can then contain promotional codes, invitations or even flash sales announcements.
